In so many areas of life, technology has become a means to an end. There are apps for almost everything you can think of, from managing our calendars to ordering takeout or learning a new language. In general, it’s been incredibly beneficial. However, at the same time, this ubiquity has also had some drawbacks in regard to education.

Statistics out there show that students who participate in computer science-related activities get better grades than those who don’t. This is why introducing coding as early as possible is becoming increasingly popular in different schools worldwide – not just because it gives kids an advantage but because it opens up so many new opportunities for them later on. coding for kids is important because it helps them to bridge the gap between digital technology and their everyday life. This is where the Hour of Code is. comes in. It’s a learning program that has been developed as part of a global campaign to promote computer science education in schools and other educational institutions. Specifically, it encourages kids to learn coding by introducing them to the basics of programming in a fun and interactive way.  A similar philosophy is used in the computer science curriculum of SkoolOfCode where we are providing STEM-based learning in a fun and interactive way.

SkoolOfCode endeavor for Hour of Code

Our teachers will be touching various lives by hosting hour of code sessions in different communities. We want to bring computer science into classrooms that may not have access to coding tools and create an hour of Code experience for everyone. We want to encourage students to participate in hour of code activities while teaching them valuable coding skills that they can use later on.

Also, we would like our students also join us in this mission by teaching coding to kids in their own communities. Our students can be a part of this movement by motivating, encouraging, teaching, or helping their friends, family, and peers to code and show them the world of computer science. So join us in this hour of code endeavor because we believe coding is for everyone!  Such an hour of Code event not only spearheads the movement to teach kids coding but also promotes creativity and problem-solving skills among young minds. That’s why, during the hour of Code week we are encouraging our students to host an hour of code activities in their neighborhoods, libraries, and other recreational settings.

We hope that by inspiring more kids to learn coding through the Hour of Code sessions we can create a world where everyone has access to coding education.
