Why This Course?
Coding is the foundational literacy of the digital age. This course teaches your child to think computationally, break down problems, and create solutions through structured, project-based programming. Turtle is a python library that enables the creation of pictures & shapes by providing a virtual canvas. It is a more visual approach to make the young programmers learn, interact and build concepts in an easy and fun manner.
Learning Objectives:
* Design various shapes with different colors
* Create the objects and make them move
* Conditions, iterations and random module By the end of this course, students will have built real projects and developed confidence in their ability to create with technology.
What Your Child Will Learn
Course Content
Introduction to turtle module and basic turtle commands for background screen color, screen title, writing text with different font size, style, and color.
Will be using turtle commands to draw various geometric shapes and learn the concept of coordinates.
Will make use of iterations to draw the various geometric shapes and objects like smiley, home, etc.
Let us draw various regular polygons and stars with different colors.
Use of random to choose random colors from a list of colors, random locations within the screen coordinates, random colors from the range of colors.
Printing stars with random colors in horizontal line/ vertical line/ diagonally.
Printing stars with random colors at random locations within the screen coordinates.
Create functions for drawing different geometric shapes. Use these functions to create an object like smiley, home, etc.
Design a fidget spinner and then animate it faster as the space bar key is pressed.
Building the screen for the snake game and generating the food at random location
Build the snake's body while eating food and the game is over as soon as the snake touches any of the screen borders or it touches its own body part.
Design the race track and place the turtles with different colors to take part in the race.
Position the turtles onto the track and start the race. Declare the winner of the game and display the stars with the same color of the winning turtle.
Presenting the final project by displaying the output of the project with an explanation of the code.
